Bindal is Nordland’s southernmost secret - a fjord-framed municipality where Viking burial mounds, granite peaks, and boatbuilding traditions still shape the landscape. With around 1,400 residents and a coastline carved by Bindalsfjorden and Tosenfjorden, Bindal is a nature-rich haven for hikers, anglers, and history buffs. It’s part of the Trollfjell Geopark, and home to Heilhornet - a mountain so iconic it once guided seafarers like a granite lighthouse.
